Taking the understanding of hand gestures/sign language and visual forms of communication. How does the perceived meaning that a hand gesture holds get challenged? Where do little nuances appear and how does the shape of the sign change depending on the context. Finally, where does the line get drawn to say this isn’t the original but something new.
